FAQs
What is OHIP & Non-OHIP?
OHIP stands for Ontario Health Insurance Plan, covering medical services for essential medical services like doctor visits, hospital care, and some therapies.
Non-OHIP services are those that are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). These services may include IFHP refugee claims, UHIP/CHIP claims, Travel Insurance claims, charges for missed appointments or if the health card is not valid on the day of patient's appointment. Fees are based on the Ontario Medical Association's suggested fees.
How to submit claims?
Claims can be submitted electronically through our secure file sharing portal or faxed to 905-555-5555.
Who to contact for help?
If an issue arises with MOH, you may contact us and our team will provide assistance or you may contact the Ministry of Health directly.
What are billing deadlines?
OHIP has a posted cut-off date of the 18th of the month, which means that they will process all claims they receive by that date with the deposit arriving around the 15th of the following month. To allow us processing time, we encourage all physicians to get their work to us by the 10th of the month.
Can I update my billing information online?
Yes, billing information updates can be made securely through your TitanFile account, by phone or emailing us.
